Dr Deborah Sykes is a Specialist Orthodontist and operates a successful Orthodontic Surgery at 1424 Sturt Street, Ballarat, Victoria, 3350, Australia.

Deborah graduated with a Bachelor of Dentistry at the University of Adelaide in 1983, and worked in general dentistry for about 10 years before studying for her Master’s Degree in Children Dentistry at The University of Adelaide in 1993. 

She then decided to further her knowledge of the care and treatment of children and graduated with her second postgraduate Master’s Degree in Orthodontics from the University of London and gained Membership of The Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1998. 

Deborah is one of only a handful of dental specialists with qualifications in both Orthodontics and Children’s Dentistry in Australia and possibly the only female to hold both qualifications, and so she brings a great deal of expertise to regional Victoria and the Ballarat community in the area of Healthcare.

Deborah is a Member of the Dental Practice Board of Victoria, (DPB), the Australian Dental Association (ADA), the Australian Society of Orthodontists (ASO), the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO), and is a ‘Give a Smile” Orthodontist and so donates a free orthodontic treatment to a public patient yearly.  Deborah gives free Dental Health talks to schools in and around Ballarat. 

Deborah is also a member of Ballarat Rotary Australia and participates in Rotary fundraisers routinely. She would like to continue her commitment to the Ballarat community, and is involved with fundraising for ‘Lake Blitz” and other community charities.
